Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 29 May 1987. Poston discusses growing up in Eden, North Carolina, her family and religious activities, and her experiences in Liberia as a member of the Peace Corps. She describes her conversion to the Mormon Church and its impact on her social and religious life as well as the experiences of black Mormons in general.
